We had a similar problem a few years ago. Hubby ended up adding a piece of wood to the the top to match the slope of the vaulted roof.

Thank you so much... I had a similar solution like a shelf with brackets in a corner. Wood piece sounds easier

  • Take a piece of wood and cut on one side to match the slope and flat on the other. Attach it to your ceiling and adjust your cat tree to the flat side.

You could attach the wood with a hammer and nails-go to a diy or a hardware store and they have wood scraps there you could get for a reduced price, they will cut them for you-a straight cut, no angles.

You could also make a triangular shape and nail it to the ceiling. You might use a mitre box for any angles.

When you attach it to the ceiling, be sure it is into a stud or a solid beam.

Your kitties are so lucky to have you as owners, what a wonderful thing you are doing for them. Bet they will love every bit of the cat tree and the climbing adventure.

We have 2 outside feral kitties and we cannot come near them, very skittish, yet they love the Meow Mix we put down.

Hi Heather. I would use a piece of wood to run from the standard height up to your vaulted height. You could glue carpet to the wood and match what is already on. Some carpet stores sell remnants for a cheap price. Good luck Heather. I hope you are well.

    Hello Heather,

Try using Hardbacked books on the floor to lift the pole! Best wishes.

Hi Heather, this is where your geometry skills, you will need to make a triangle block to attach the ceiling on the slope.

A bracket attached to ceiling joists should work. Paint the bracket to match ceiling so it is not obvious.

I would use a ceiling hook that can hold weight
