Essential oils sprayed on a cinnamon broom or pine cones can help to add fragrance to the room and decorate.
You can purchase cinnamon essential oil at most any craft store or even Walmart. Add a few drops along with a 1:1 ratio of water and rubbing alcohol to a spray bottle. Use it as air fresherner when you want the room infused with the cinnamon fragrance. You can also add the cinnamon oil to wax and make your own candles. You can also place a few drops of the cinnamon oil cotton balls or scrap fabric and place throughout the room.
Use spray adhesive and put cinnamon and pinecones in a plastic bag and shake. Use a soft bristled brush to remove excess. Stack them in a bowl.
Cinnamon essential can be purchased at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I use ten drops of essential oils and cheap vodka in a spray bottle. Spray the room, couches, and carpets. The vodka evaporates leaving the scent.
There are some good ideas here:

Essential oils, or just buy some cinnamon pinecones at a craft store. Their fragrance is usually strong enough to scent a room.
Here's something Martha does:
Martha Stewart takes this a step further. She recommends creating fragrance sachets to make a home smell like fall time. Simply sew a small square sachet out of cotton or another natural material and fill it with a fragrance of your choice, including cinnamon powder. These can be placed on shelves or even in clothing drawers to infuse items with the cozy cinnamon scent.
