There are lots of posts here on leather chairs that can help you:
You could use a leather dye to make it a darker colour! Messy wear rubber gloves and an apron to do it. Lots of colours to choose from.
I wouldn't paint leather!
Use a dye, but it is messy and you would best do the job outside in shade as hot sun will make the dye dry too quickly. I have dyed various leather items and found that you will only make a colour change darker than your original colour as I have found trying to make the leather colour lighter doesn't seem to work effectively as you will find your original colour will mix with the lighter colour and you may end up with a colour mix you don't like. The best thing is to cut a piece of your leather chair from the underside (It won't be seen if you take a cutting from there) and do a small test and see what colour it turns out to be. Best of luck

Hi! I've heard good things about this product !
Use analine dye for leather, but when you dye you can only go darker or same level of lightness. I would thoroughly clean it first.....this is the products I use.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6AopwTuYAo&t=283s
