Looking for a quick and easy Halloween Prop? Need an accessory for your witch costume? Here’s the perfect 5 minute project. DIY Witch Broom Props.


A super fun prop using things you may have around the house. All you need is a stick, paper bag, wire and tape.


Then poof, just like magic, you can create the scariest witches broom. Use it to spruce up your costume. Make a bunch to decorate your house.

Materials


-Tree Branches

-Paper Bags

-Floral Wire

-Floral Tape ( Brown )

-Hot Glue, Hot Glue Sticks 

-Scissors

Step One


Cut open paper bag.

Step Two


Fold paper bag in half.

Step Three


Fold in half again.

Step Four


Cut strips into the double folded bag.

Stop two inches from the edge of bag.

Step Five


Keep Cutting.

Step Six


Cut until your paper bag looks like this. 

Step Seven


Unfold the cut paper bag.

Step Eight


Fold edge to create a 1/2 inch seam.

Step Nine


Hot glue and wrap paper bag around stick.


Glue 6 inches from edge of stick.

Cut wire and wrap around edge of paper bag.


Create two wire borders.

Cover wire with brown floral tape. Secure with more glue.

Tips-Tricks


-Try thinner branches, straw or raffia for the broom base.

-Dowels or bamboo instead of sticks.

-Spray paint your brown for color.

-Use twine instead of wire or tape.
