Snap off or cut off the hanger part, so you only have the bits that look a bit like branches. Stick one inside the other to make a four branch look. Use smaller ones on top made in the same manner. Use three branches fitted together for one from the top, and use the forth piece cut off as your tree top point. Hope that helps.

If you grab a cardboard tube, you could slice slits and stick the hangers in or put the hangers perpendicular on the tube.
