Driftwood Tree Holiday Decor

I love driftwood and I love decorating with driftwood so this idea was a win!

I wanted to incorporate driftwood into my holiday decor but I wanted to keep it simple so it could work as winter decor as well.

The great thing about this tutorial is you can customize it to fit your decor with the color or even style of the trees!

For this project I used:

  • A frame ( I had one in my stash)
  • Canvas or board as the background (you could also use and old piece of art that you want to change up)
  • Driftwood in the size you need (find some or even purchase at a craft store)
  • hot glue gun

I first laid out the trees on the table to figure out the look I wanted and to make gluing easier. I chose two different styles of trees to go for the look I wanted.

Once I had them laid out the way I wanted, I started just hot gluing the pieces right on the the canvas.

I had the word "peace" made from wire that I picked up from Michaels years ago waiting to be used for something and I thought this was a perfect spot for it!

What do you think? Do you love driftwood too? You could also easily use sticks from your yard for this project as well!

You can tell I never lived in the desert. I was picturing saguaro ribs as some kind of animal rib bones. Haha.

What a great project and it really lends itself to so many other versions of this. Thanks for sharing!
