Simple Thanksgiving centerpiece
Set up the tray

To create this incredible centerpiece, I used a wooden tray with three dollar store vases. In between each vase, I placed a container with wet floral foam.

Tape down the containers

I didn’t worry too much about securing the vases but to secure the containers, I used some floral tape to hold them in place. The trick is to add a small extra piece of tape to hold down each edge of the longer piece of tape.

Next, I placed my candles inside the vases. I couldn't wait to light them up and create a unique ambiance. I used wonderful cinnamon-scented candles but feel free to use candles with any color or scent you like.

Add flowers
Add flowers

I had bought some fresh flowers from the local grocery store and I started decorating the centerpiece by arranging the flowers in the floral foam. I love working with different colors and flowers to get the perfect design.

Cover the container

Once most of my gorgeous flowers were in, I made sure to add some, facing downwards to cover up as much of the container as possible. To fill up the spaces, I used dollar store fall leaves. If you have real fall leaves outside, feel free to use those or, like me, just buy a few to add to the arrangements.

Add a stand for the vase

My vases seemed a little short amongst all the flowers, so I used a smaller candle as a stand for the vase.

Add some fall decorations

To cover up the little candle stands I added in some pumpkin decor which totally added to the fall-themed centerpiece.

You could add fruits around the bases, Apples, Pears, oranges, add some in the shell nuts strewn around the centerpiece, with conveniently placed crackers and picks, for snacking during after dinner conversation at table. Some sprays of red berries could be an element in the bouquets, or wheat stalks, preserved cat tails, nice pine cones or other cones and acorns. Wood fall decor items would work. Clusters of grapes, on small trenchers. Even ears of Indian corn or winter squashes & gourds. It all would depend on the look you want. Dried flowers and herbs would also be effective.
