Tools and materials:

• Mason Jars
• Multi-surface paint
• Paintbrush
• Packing tape
• Cardboard
• Pencil

To get started on this awesome DIY, I started painting the inside of the jar using a fan brush. It’s important to use a paint that will stick to the glass which is why I made sure I had picked multi-surface paint. I used one color per jar but feel free to get creative with your colors and designs! 

While waiting for the paint to dry I printed labels for the jars. An awesome tip is to print the labels to the width of packing tape so that they are super easy and neat to stick on the jar. I cut out the letters of my labels as neatly as I could. 

Once I had my letters cut out I laid them down with the spacing I wanted on my jar. I made sure there was no fluff or debris for the tape to pick up around the letters. I then used my tape to pick up the letters. Once all the letters were on the tape, I turned the piece over and just pressed down on any areas that might not have been properly stuck to the piece of packing tape. 

Next, I laid down my jar and lined up where I wanted the label to go. Once I had the perfect position, I stuck on the label. This jar was looking so super cute! 

To make sure my dispenser would have the perfect finish, I used a credit card to push out any air bubbles that may have formed underneath the label. 

To create the dispenser aspect of the jar, I traced the lid onto a piece of cardboard. It’s important to use a stiff material so that the shape holds while being flexible enough to actually dispense. If you don’t have thin cardboard, felt material works well too! Once I had traced the lid, I cut it out. 

I used my scissors to poke a hole in the center and cut an X shape to act as the perfect dispenser. If you want to decorate this piece as well you totally can! 

I removed the tin piece from the lid and replaced it with my cardboard. I then put the lid on the mason jar and couldn’t believe how amazing the dispenser looked! 

The final step was to add my tissues to the jar. I opened up a full box of tissues and removed them, keeping all the tissues lined up. I then placed them, inside the jar, making sure one was already sticking out. I put my lid back on and pulled a little bit of the top tissue through the dispenser. I repeated the same step with my wipes. I then did a test to make sure my new dispensers worked and I was so excited to see that they absolutely did!
