Thanksgiving Turkey Door Decor
This GIVE THANKS Thanksgiving Turkey Door Decor went together quick and easy in just an evening with Kunin Felt and foam discs from the craft store. Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year to create home decor items. Not only to decorate my house but also to give as gifts to family and friends.
Basecoat top, bottom, and sides of 12” and 6” Foam Discs with Dark Chocolate paint, let dry. Measure and cut three 12” by ¾” strips from Walnut Brown Felt and then glue to edge of 12” foam disc.
Download and print THANKSGIVING TURKEY DOOR DECOR PATTERNS Cut out, trace on to chipboard, then cut out again. Trace and cut out 12 large feathers on Walnut Brown Felt, 12 large feathers on Ruby Felt, 12 small feathers on Gold Felt and 12 small feathers on Orange Felt.
Starting at 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock, begin gluing down the large Walnut Brown felt feathers first.
Place large Ruby felt feathers in the same fashion, but shifting slightly so the center of the Ruby feather matches up with the joint of the Walnut Brown feathers. Glue in place.
Repeat process for small Gold felt feathers and small Orange felt feathers.
Measure and cut two 12” by ¾” strips of Copper Canyon felt and then glue to edge of 6” foam disc. Trace and cut a 6” circle Copper Canyon felt, glue to the top of 6” foam disc, let dry.
Trace and cut out Turkey Body from Walnut Brown Felt, Beak and buckle from Gold Felt, Waddle from Ruby Felt, Hat from Black Felt and Hat Trim from White Felt. Glue all pieces together, using the photo as your guide. Add one wiggle eye above the beak.
Glue Turkey to the center of 6” foam disc, then glue to the center of 12” foam disc. Attach self-adhesive pearls randomly to turkey feathers.
Color canvas letters with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, then attach to felt-covered banner.
Place the wooden banner on Copper Canyon Felt, trace and cut out, then glue to surface. Embellish with pearls. Find the center of 24” length of braided jute, secure to work surface with tape. Glue Banner 2” down from the center, then glue Turkey 2” down from the banner.
I hope you will use my Thanksgiving Turkey Door Decor as a jumping-off point to showcase your Kunin Creativity to create a fun holiday decoration! A quick and easy craft to create in an afternoon with the kiddos to keep those Holiday Traditions ALIVE!

I did this with my participant that I work with. We didn’t have felt so we used card stock. It turned out really good. We didn’t do the banner part, we didn’t have a banner to trace. So we are just sticking with the turkey as is. I truly enjoyed this project and gave my participant a good craft to do.
