I have some solar powered lights on my deck and I can't recommend solar powered enough! No batteries needed! They just always light when they have power! Check out the ones Amazon has: https://amzn.to/3qfexcG
I recently found some solar lights at amazon. They aren't for xmas so that means they can be used year round. They have seven different patterns to choose from (by patterns I mean different twinkling light modes).
Good thing about being solar is no electricity is needed so they can be installed almost anywhere.

Use command hooks
You can use suction cups with hooks to add tach to the glass. Then you don’t have any issues to deal with afterwards.
What exactly is your question?
Do you want to know the different types of lights available for home decoration?
Do you want to know how to use the different modes?
Are you looking for a specific type of lighting?
Do you want to decorate the outside of the window with lights, or the inside of the window?

Long strings of lights hanging vertically looks so pretty! I agree command hooks would work great for this
Battery powered candles in the window always look nice!
Or lights around the doorway/window frame!

I have the greatest little hooks from Home Depot. They are small circles and boy do they stick to the window. They work great!
