Yarn Pom-Pom/Bow for Gifts
One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season is wrap gifts! I think i just love making things look pretty, especially with all the types of wrapping paper and bows there are in the world! I typically put on some Christmas music, grab my wrapping paper, tape, scissors and bows and get to wrapping! I also love being able to hand over an awesome gift that's wrapped up so beautifully! I feel like it makes what's inside more exciting!
Unfortunately, wrapped up gifts don't last very long. You either have to open it up eventually, or the person you're giving the gift to. I received an item in the mail recently and went to put the empty box in the recycle bin when I had an idea! I thought, "why not wrap up this empty box, make it all pretty and use it as decor?!" And that's just what I did!
I wrapped the box up, and placed it with the centerpiece on my dining table! It looks so perfect with the pine centerpiece and candles! 
I used a smaller size, empty box. You can just any size or shape box, depending on where you want to display it.
I had some leftover brown paper wrapping paper and decided to use that. I felt like the red string would pop against the brown! Again, this is a total DIY and you can make it look however you'd like! You can use any type and color of wrapping paper and/or string!
I decided to use red yarn for my pom-pom. Again, you can use any color of your choosing!
Unravel a fairly long, decent size length of string and begin to wrap it around your fingers. I wrapped it between 20-30 times.
Once I was finished wrapping the yarn around my hand, I then pulled the string off my hand by pinching the center of the wrapped yarn.
I then cut a smaller size length of yarn and wrapped it around the center of my wrapped yarn. I tied a double knot.
Once you've tied a piece of string in the center, you can then cut the ends.
Once the yarn is cut, you can then fluff it up and around a bit to form the pom-pom. And here's the finished product! A cute little pom-pom you can use to finish off your wrapped presents!
You can also make a fringe-y bow with the yarn! Instead of tying a piece of yarn around the wrapped yarn, you can feed a piece through the center and tie it. Then cut the ends and you've made a cute bow!
I added a tag for some extra Christmas cheer! I just love how it looks in the center of my dining table!
