Hi there! Because of the tones of cream and beige I think a blue would really pop against it! A rich and subtle navy on the shutters and the stucco wall I think would look really nice.
You have some nice neutral colors to work around and almost any color combo would look nice. I see the stucco and shutters as dark gray, paint the post white to tie in with the roof trim and hang a flower pot or two. You can leave the door white but I think a deep cherry red would be nice.
it all depends how extensive you like your project to be.. I would be looking into some statement...Are you thinking to change a color of your brick too ? if yes black shutters and black doors would beautifuly accent all
Side lights around the door would let in more light and improve the look.
Some color could be added with planters and flowering plants.
I agree with adding shutters but not regular shutters. I saw an episode of Maine Cabin Masters where they used tree outlines as the shape of the shutter. So go with something that will make your house personal and stand out from the crowd.
Looks like the sun shines on that side of the house. Is that a problem for you? If you consider an awning. There are some good units on amazon but if you want to make you own to customize it just goggle awnings.
You appear to have your more neutral colors down now is the time to add some pops of color.
Is your house address visible from the street? I know someone making a delivery or looking for your house for the first time might appreciate that.
Personally I'd go bold to attract the eye but it all depends on your taste, your tolerance for color, and if there are any homeowner association issues.
If you want to stay in the color family, brown to match the occasional brick and roof. I would think Hunter Green would be a great accent color as well. Although I think I would only do the shutters the green.
Hi Lynn: I'd suggest a colour close to the red of the bricks to make the whole thing flow. The door doesn't necessarily have to match the garage door. As a matter of fact, it drives my neighbour and best friend nuts when she sees that. Of course I have an attached garage and my door matches :) But, I'd paint the stucco the same as the red in the bricks.

Hunter green would look good as the accent color

Paint your front door a bright color.

I would do one of two colors either maroon, to bring out the brick color or Forest Green. Both would make it pop
