How can I fix carpet and tile transition?

You can buy all sorts of transitions at your local home improvement store, metal ones, wood, marble. You might be able to fit one of those between or over.

You can put down a threshold made of a tile that matches or "goes with" the tile you presently have. I would recommend going to a tile store for the best selection.

Agreed with the other commenters they make several different kinds of transition materials. With what you have I would look into the rubber ones that are very low profile. You can get them in a variety of different colors too!

And you may want to rethink removing the terrazo tiles as they are having a huge comeback and quite expensive, I may add. You may already have a treasure in your hands and all you need to do is clean and buff it to make it look a million bucks!

All you have to do it remodel the existing carpet so that it accommodates the transition strip. As a rule of thumb, make sure to install the tack strip for the carpet about 1/4 to 3/8 inches from the edge of the tile. Cut the edge of the carpet so that it reaches the edge of the tile perfectly.

Hello. It might be possible to find threshold options at the big box hardware store . You might start there and investigate if there is one that will help level out your transition areas.

Check out your local independent flooring store. They have options that might not be available in big box stores. They will usually give you sound advice as well.

Clean the terrazo it is back in style. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Floor and Decor or a carpet store and check out what they recommend for transition. There is a way to stretch the carpet to the tile with no extra pieces. Look up carpet installation

You can purchase a threshold strip at home depot.

I would sand it and seal it with a wood sealer.
