Hi Kay,

Cut out the Stocking and Linings together 1/2" bigger than required to allow for Hem. Pin Lining with good sides facing, Place Outer Stocking, right sides on the outsides either side of the Lining to form a sandwich. Pin all together. Make a running stitch all around to secure them together. (You could use Back stitch) it is up to you). Then Blanket stitch around the outside or Cover edges with a braid or use Pinking shires to make a nice edge.

Next, Either Turn in the edges of the Top and sew down or, Do a running stitch (as before) and finish with Blanket stitch, or Use Pinking shears. Hope that helps.
