You can use a styrofoam cone as a base and add all sort of things - yarn, thin rope, pinecones, - depending on the look you want.

You could attach a pole (dowel or closet rod) to a base. Some stiff wire can be inserted into the pole. Then attach garland to the pole and wire. We bought a fake small tree and have used it for MANY years.

Hi Julie. Dollar Tree sells bottle brushes. They make excellent trees. You can even apply spray adhesive on them and sprinkle them with Epson Salt or glitter. Then spray hair spray, also from Dollar Tree, to hold everything in place. Good luck Julie. Happy Holidays.
Absolutely agree with you above poster the dollar tree mini Christmas trees are quite a value! There’s many YouTube and hacks to upstyle them. Something to consider.
