Christmas Tree

This is a super easy Christmas DIY making a yarn tree.

You know how people say things are super easy and you try them and they aren’t? Well this isn’t one of those projects. Lol. I needed a new centerpiece for my table and wanted something tall and narrow. A yarn tree looked perfect for this space.

Items needed:

  • Styrofoam cone
  • Glue gun
  • Yarn
  • If you want to add a “trunk” I used a dowel rod and small piece of wood that was cut from a log.

For my trunk I used the miter saw and cut small pieces of wood from a log. I then used the drill and made a hole in the center for the dowel rod to go in.

Just drill the hole in the center and then add a little glue and then your dowel rod.

Start at the bottom and wrap and glue. I don’t know that it’s totally necessary to use as much as I did but I wanted to make sure it was secure.

Start at the bottom and go around and up until you are at the top.

What do you think? I absolutely love it!

I also used these cones and made a gum drop tree. This was also crazy easy! I cut tooth picks in half and then added them to the gum drop and then to the tree!

Hope y’all enjoyed this project! Be sure to give me a follow here and on Instagram! Leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by and tag me in your projects so I can share them.

I think this is a cute idea. If you add miniature items to it that would make it look even more festive

Very cute! I think I will push the dowel in all the way so wood branch piece looks like tree trunk.

    • It actually is in all the way. It even pokes out of the top on accident. You can cut your dowel whatever size you want.
