Home plants are all the rage right now. And if you’re going to have home plants you definitely need a DIY propagation station! So let’s make one.

I’ve been wanting a propagation station for a little while now. They are so cute and it’s a great way to get free plants!

If you haven’t propagated your own plants, you should definitely do it! I’ve been propagating succulents in my backyard for over a year.

This DIY propagation station from scrap wood is so easy to make. I also used some bottles I already had from Target’s dollar section. So this project was completely free!

If you want a different look, you can use the propagation tubes to make this propagation station. Or any bottle will work.

I had plywood circles that I had used to make some art for Bugs room and decided to repurpose those. They were 14″ circles and I cut one in half to make the 2 semi circles.

To hold the bottles, we used 1×2 that we had used in the bathroom. I traced the bottles onto the 1×2 and then John cut it out to make sure the bottles would fit snuggly.

Because the bottles are bigger on the bottom and then kind of hour glass shaped, we cut the front out of the wood so that we could slide the bottles in and out from the front.

Then attached the 1×2’s to the semicircle with a  nail gun. I chose to paint the whole thing black, but you could easily stain it.

The semicircles can be displayed either way, with the round down, or up, or one of each! Which is what I did in my kitchen.

Such a pretty project for propagating, like a fine work of art! Wherever did you find those beautiful, unique bottles (vases?)

Love those bottles. Where did you find those little gems? Even dollar tree doesn't have any thing like those. Such a great idea to. Thank you for sharing.
