These colorful mugs are a gorgeous simple craft made with nail polish. How perfect is this Dollar store DIY marble mug dip technique? More details on the blog!

You can make a pretty mug you can keep or giveaway as a gift!

Grab your materials and lets get started!

  1. Fill pan with 2-3” water
  2. Make mark on side of pan so you can indicate water level
  3. Add nail polish

Use toothpick to swirl nail polish around. Don’t overthink- it have fun!

Dip the mug directly down into the water. Pull out immediately keeping the mug upright. You only want to dip once, do not dip multiple times. Once the mug dries you can flip it over, and dip the other side if you wish. They look super cool with only have the mug done as well.

The marble effect is so cool. We mixed red and green, however it did turn out to be more of a pink than green.

One cool thing is after a few minutes the nail polish begins to harden and you can use a toothpick to remove right off the water. The water is then clear again and you can use other colors without having to dump the water.

In the end you have a fun beautiful craft you can use daily. You can clear coat these with a food safe sealer if you want to be able to put them in the dishwasher.
