Turn Plain Vases Into an Elegant Centerpiece

This year's table centerpiece was effortless to make. The vases are upcycled from previous projects but they are readily available and inexpensive... better yet use what you have on hand. With a little Mod Podge, tape, and glitter you can turn your vases into an elegant design.

Make sure your vase is clean, next tape off a design, let your imagination guide the tape.

Once your vase is taped off, add Mod Podge to the area you want your glitter to adhere to. I chose gold glitter, but any color can be added to match your decor.

Remove the tape and clean off any glitter that did not adhere. I did several different size vases and designs for dimension and added interest.

I let the vases dry for a couple of hours and then filled them with water leaving enough room to add cranberries and a floating candle.

Any fruit could be added and instead of candles, flowers could be used. The combinations are endless...use whatever you have that matches the look you are trying to achieve.

Here is a close up look...

I also added faux greenery with a few ornaments scattered and intertwined the vases.
