A 14" broken lazy susan with a removed base was perfect to start this project!

But any wood round would do, which are easily found in hardware stores.

First, the wood round was painted in the perfect shade of vintage red. I used Homestead House Milk Paint Barn Red.

Christmas Sweater is a repeating nordic-style sweater pattern that is designed for quick and easy coverage due to the square shape!

It measures 10" x 10", so it fits most projects!

How to stencil with Christmas Sweater

1. Position Christmas Sweater in the center of the wood round.
2. Stencil in desired color. (I used Fusion's Raw Silk)
3. To extend the pattern to the edges, overlap like-minded stencil images along the sides.
4. To extend the pattern up or down, align tree tops to tiny registration marks at the bottom of the stencil.

To create the ornament top, I attached a small plank of wood behind the wood round with the top sticking up beyond the wood round.

The front was then painted black.

To really ramp up the ornament look, a heavy wire was bent like a hook, then a few evergreen branches were added in a small swag style.

SO festive and SO easy!

The finished result is a super cool Christmas ornament that looks so festive hung anywhere! Isn't it the cutest?!
