Hi May, are you looking to upcycle the bedframe or paint it and use it still as a frame? They are a lot of amazing paints out there that would give it a whole new look if you want to still use it. (Annie Sloan, Fusion, Miss Mustard Seed, Country Chic)
If you still want to use it as a bed, you can strip off the old finish and give it a new one with a different color stain. Painting it is another option.
