How do i get a cap off of a metal cocktail shaker

This cocktail shaker is for travel. It's all metal. The top to where you pour won't budge. Here's a picture and I'm going to attempt to point and snap....

Have you tried soaking in soapy water?

Freeze it for a few hours. When you take it out, hit only the outside piece with hot water. Use oven mitt and twist.

Hi Kelly, I would try to soak it in hot hot soapy water, it likely has a sticky residue holding it together, after soaking it for about 5 minutes, remove it from the water and try to pull it apart, if unsuccessful try putting it in the freezer for 10 minutes then try to pull apart, hope this helps you out.

I'd say WD40 but that might not be food safe haha

You can just wash it after so it would not matter. I just don't know if it can seep into the crack to work.
