Does your crawl space have an earthen floor, or a concrete floor?

Is it heated or insulated?

First thing is a dehumidifier.then after the source is gone you can clean up. But with mold you might consider professionals because it is a health hazard. Unless you have all the protective gear I wouldn’t risk it.

Do you have air ventilation in your crawl space? Is there plastic under your home?

The underside of the house should get plenty of air!

 Do not try to clean yourself or use bleach. This is a health & safety issue. Get professional & licensed mold inspector to check this out.

I would have a pro manage this issue as there’s a lot more going on that needs resolving on top of the mold.

Make sure you have ventilation and air movement in the crawl. Too many people block the vents not realizing moisture has no way to get out. Moisture with stagnant air will harbor mold growth. Depending how bad the mold is you may need a pro to remove it. Some use beads of dry ice and sandblast the mold. You can use a liquid mold cleaner in a garden sprayer.

Hi! Search for the source in case there is a leak or drainage problems. Set up a way for the air to circulate. Depends on how large an area and what type of mold for removing it. Some mold is toxic. Test it first. You can pick up a test kit or get it professionally done. Good luck and stay safe!

You would first need to get the water/dampness taken care of installing a small fan in one of your vents, installing a waterproof flooring, and maybe using Drylok paint on the concrete blocks. Once you have the fan in, i would spray down the space with vinegar in a large garden spray 1 to 2xs. If that doesn't take care of the mold you may need a remediator. I would be extra cautious as many furnace air intakes are in the crawl space so it can spread mold spores throughout the house..... then you would need to clean your ducts.

Be careful with this one. If you do it yourself, I would wear a properly fitting half mask respirator with appropriate filters. The mold will have to be scraped and or vacuumed, I would use hepa filters in vac. Then wash areas with bleach water. very labor intensive. You could call a restoration contractor to do the work as they have PPE and are trained in mold removal.
