A few drops of food coloring should do it!
Mix it up and add food coloring to the dough. You may want to wear plastic gloves so the food coloring does not stick to your hands when you first add it in.
I'd suggest food colouring too and wear gloves and protect your work surfaces as it can stain :)
Food coloring is likely the best to use but in a pinch you can add the craft paint but it won't provide as clear a color as the food coloring.

Food coloring. Once your clay is cool to the touch, take out and roll until smooth. If you chose you put in food coloring now would be the time to roll it into your clay. Once you have your clay make as many colors as you want by repeating this process or breaking apart the clay into smaller parts and giving each part a different color. have fun and make sure not to eat the clay as it is clay and not a food.

Hi! When my granddaughter and I made them, we added a couple of drops of food coloring to the dough. Worked great and was lots of fun. Just protect your hands and any surfaces from the color. Stay safe!

Food coloring will do the trick. A few drops until you like the color
Hi Shincker. I agree with the comments already given. Food coloring is the best choice for this project. Add a couple drops at a time. You can always add more but you can't take it away. Break off enough clay to work at a time and put the rest of the clay in a zip lock bag. Good luck Shincker. Happy New Year.
Food coloring should work just fine.
Hello,
Food colouring, used for colouring Icing for cakes! Have fun.
A few drops of food coloring or a tad bit of cool aid powder (this also makes it smell nice).
