Do you still want some light filtering thru or do you want to completely block the light?
You could use some type of fabric (either see thru or solid) and adhere it with starch. Here is an idea don't know if this is what you are looking for or not:
If it is Plexiglass that has discoloured, then remove it and replace with new Glass. If you don't want to remove it you could add a Removeable Decal (Amazon do coloured glass for decal for front doors), or you could use a Contact for Glass or you could paint it on the inside.
Hi Loretta, is the glass yellow in color or just yellowed from age? You can clean really well with vinegar and paint it with glass paint, do a pattern or just a single color. Or grab some peel and stick window film. Or this may help you out
Hi Loretta. I think glass paint is the best choice for this project. You will need to tape off the parts you don't want painted. Then apply the paint in light coats. Be sure to let each coat dry before adding the next coat. Allowing time will also give you the chance to see how it looks at different times of the day. Good luck Loretta. Happy New Year.
You could cover it with static cling film. I use Rabbitgoo brand, purchased on Amazon, with great results. They have some stained glass patterns that you might like.
You could try lighting gel sheets, a very thin sheet used in film and theatre to change the colour of a light. If you cut it exactly to the curves then it should just slot in, and a tiny tiny speck of glue in four corners will hold it there. Because yours is yellow, if you used a shade of blue you will get green windows instead, or if you use a shade of pink or red you will get orange or peach. The colour range is huge, ask a theatre or film lighting designer who is experienced, or ask the company who makes the gels the sort of colour you want to result, and light you get through the glass you already have. If it gets very little, go with a lighter colour.
If you don't like the color yellow, you may be able to change it with glass paint. Otherwise, you would need to replace the glass panel(s).
Hi Loretta glass paint is an option you could also consider a window veneer. There are TONs of options out there now on Amazon. It goes on just with water and peals right off - so its not permanent if you don't like the result. Is the glass flat, or is it textured?
If the latter, then contact/privacy paper will not stay stuck to it.

My neighbor painted her with glass paint. Che did the back side which was the smooth side. Taped it off and it came out beautiful.
I could also see using etching cream on the back side too, which would give it a great glimmer.

Curtains that way you can open the curtains to let light in. Plus would be they would be very small curtains.
