First, blot, don't scrub and hot water and dish soap will take out a lot of it. Here's a link for you:

As long as its acrylic paint I think you can remove it. I've always had good luck in drowning it with very hot water and a little dish soap mixed in.
Cover the area with a large cotton towel, then pour HYDROGEN peroxide all over the towel. Let sit for at least 1/2 hour. You may have to treat more than once.

Hi Jakki. Use a butter knife and scrape as much of the paint away as you can. In a small bowl combine hot water and a modest amount of dish soap (I would use Dawn dish soap). Carefully pour some of this solution directly on the paint. Allow enough time for the hot water to soak into and soften the dried paint. Then go back to scraping. Work from the outside inward to the center. You can always soak the water up with paper towels and repeat with more of the hot water solution. Eventually you should be able to get all the paint out of the carpet. Good luck Jakki.
There are many methods you can try listed above. You could also check your home insurance because most cover accidental damage, so you could have it replaced.
