Diy lantern ?

I tried it too, and it would not stay stuck together. I finally used Gorilla glue and painted it to match the frames. Easier to go to Ikea and pick up a lantern for $3.

Hello. That does sound like an impossible situation.If I were to try— I would TRY using a wood glue or construction adhesive and possibly using a small amount of hot glue and taping the exterior circumstance.

I think this project from a favorite blogger that I follow —is a little different—- but perhaps it is could have valuable tips?

I would try clamping it after gluing. It should give it a little more support while the glue dries.

You might need to use a high heat glue gun to get it to stick. e6000 will also work but you will probably need to clamp it until it dries.

One of the tips I learned after a couple of disasters, was that you need to apply the E6000 to both surfaces, let rest for a few minutes, and then join the two peices together. For some reason that works great.....take your time in joining the two glued pieces together.

Fix-All Adhesive is a great all-purpose solvent glue and sealer. It seals and repairs almost any surface easily and quickly. A great product for gluing wood, fabric, brick, canvas, and concrete. Also repairs tears and helps fill cracks and holes.

Hi Peggy. I watch a lot of You Tube projects too. My favorite is "Your House A Home" I love what she makes. Always uses items from the Dollar Tree. She uses E6000 but always puts a dab of hot glue (Gorilla Clear Grip Glue) at the corners to hold the pieces together while the E6000 dries. And oh, it looks so easy. I wish you well Peggy. I hear you on how frustrating that can be! I personally haven't tried this particular project but super glue might save you future headaches.

Hi Peggy, we put small L-shaped brackets in the corners of ours. Hot glue isn't terribly strong. Tape the pieces together with painter's tape to hold until it sets and you should be good. Also, make sure the type of glue you are using is applicable for the type of frames you are using.

Were the picture frames you were trying to glue together made from metal, plastic, or wood?

Hi Peggy, I use Gorilla Hot Glue because it is STRONG and you can buy it Walmart or any craft store.

Try gorilla glue and clamps

are these wood frames or resin? wood glue for wood and clamps. super 77 spray adhesive ...great for resin! wait till it starts getting tacky.
