How to install laminate for angled step?

I’m installing laminate throughout the house and would like to continue into a bedroom with a sunken floor. The raised level is cut on an angle and I’m not sure if I will be able to use a stair nose since the laminate will not have a solid lip to catch onto. To be continuous with the rest of the house, the laminate must run in the arrow direction. Any ideas?

Hello. Interesting issue. We have had a step down from the kitchen to the family room in many residences with hardwood floors it always was a straight step down.

Have you considered changing your profile to a straight one?

Alternatively in another home we completely removed elevation leveling the room transition and placed pad and carpet. I hope you find a perfect solution for your issue.

I was thinking of glueing the angle ends to the nose and keeping everything else flouting? A contractor on YouTube was known to glue tricky edges when it would difficult to engage the tongue and grove.

I would use a transition molding along the step nose. Then the laminate can be butted up to it. You may need to work to make it fit. Personally I would fabricate my own transition strips

I agree with William. Transition molding is the way to go. Or just a thought, use wood like ceramic tile on the inside.
