I’m going to show you guys a super cool way to give a small gift for Valentine’s Day. These DIY Felt Heart Pockets are easy to make and would be a great beginner project for stitching newbies. You can fill these with special notes and/or words of encouragement and hide in your child’s backpack for a fun school surprise. Customize with names or school mascot for a classroom party.

Start by cutting out 3 hearts in the same size with felt. You will have a middle, front and back piece for each pocket.

Decide which heart will be on the front and start decorating. You can stitch on a cute design with felt and embroidery floss.

Place your decorated heart onto the middle piece. The middle heart hides the stitching on the first heart. Take the 3rd heart, cut in half and place on the back of the middle heart. This creates the little pocket.

Now you can fill your DIY Felt Heart Pocket with a small gift, note or treat for someone special.

Aren’t these cute? I love how they turned out and love how each one can be customized. You can fill these with stickers, small toys, tattoos, candy, notes, money, jewelry and more!
