How do u add a hinge to the wood of the back of frame
hey everyone still tryin to put a box on back of frame. Ok so frame is 31/2" that is on a slant around frame. On back there is about 1" board that is attached to frame. I want to add a box type to that w/ hinge so u can open the frame like a door and get to necklaces ,brooches , earrings etc. or whatever. lol. I will try n take pic so U all can see it. I cant seem to get me brain to figure it out. There had to be something like that at 1 time. Thanks again u all for ur help. Hope u all are doing well n finding things to occupy ur time.

I think you could use the type of hinge that is made for hanging cabinet doors. Study your kitchen or bathroom cabinet to see how it is hung. If you want it to be invisible, it would be more similar to a medicine cabinet hinge.

Hello. I would suggest using a hinge type mechanism and wire or eyebolts and wire if you plan to access and open your item. Having a sawtooth type hanger might be too unstable.

Use the screws that fit the hinge or maybe "No More Nails".
You can use pretty well any hinge, just swing by the store and choose a size that fits your project.
