Yes, another heart craft. No, not because it's almost Valentine's Day, but because I love heart decor!

I have a LOT of wooden heart shapes. I like hearts. There's so many ways to use them.

For this, I used 2 different sizes of the same heart shape.

They came with a hole in the top middle, so the first thing I did was cover the holes with nail hole compound, and sanded them down after it dries. Turned out that wasn't necessary because I covered them with paper. I don't always plan things out, but go with the flow.

I measured a line across each heart, and drilled 2 small holes on each side with my craft drill.

I put glue on a heart and placed it on a piece of vintage sheet music. I have a guy that saves vintage books for me that can't be sold for one reason or another. Rather than trash them, he knows I'll give them new life. And I do. I used PVC glue, not decoupage glue.

Once the paper was dry, I put random swipes of homemade Mod Podge down, then a piece of imitation gold foil on top. There is a specific adhesive for gold foil, and I suggest using it. I am out of it, and since it's imitation gold foil and a quick, cheap, use what ya got craft, I used what I had.

Press it down and take it outside to wipe the excess off.

Afterwards, you can buff it and make it all pretty.

See? All buffed and pretty!

From the back side of the heart, poke a needle through the holes that were drilled.

I had some beads that I had already spray painted gold. If I hadn't had them painted already, I may have just left them. I guess we'll never know. It makes sense, because I love gold and have gone through many ' Let's paint everything gold!' phases!

Anyhow, the already painted gold beads were perfect.

I measured my twine, giving myself a few extra inches on each end, and started stringing the hearts and beads.

I planned on using it across my sliding glass door, but it looked pretty tacky. And I'm the queen of tacky! So I put it on this mirror and I love it!
