Painting laminate?
I have laminate in all the rooms of my home, but they don't all match. The laminate is in good condition, with very little damage to it, even if it is old (think 2004), but I would like it match. Is it possible to paint it and have the paint last for several years?

You can paint laminate but as I’m reading online, it’s quite a process. You’ll have to sand everything then use a deglosser. After that you’ll need a quality primer, a quality floor paint and a sealer. You’ll have to weigh whether the time, labor, and expense compared to new floors is worth it. Plus too, paint doesn’t manage standing water well and it won’t hold up to hard or extended use.
You can paint laminate but there is a specific way to do it so that the paint doesn't scratch right off. You can see my post here that can help you - https://chascrazycreations.com/faux-wood-grain-table/
I think this is a futile project for you. Paint will not hold on to laminate floors and it will be a lot of work for little profit. You really do not want to endeavor this project less than a year later.
It is a process. Sanding the flooring. Special bonding primer etc

Agree with Dee that it will be not be durable enough to last even under 'normal' household conditions. What you may be stuck with after having spent money and time on the project, is a very unattractive floor.

You could add rugs/runners to high traffic areas if you're worried about it being worn down.
