How do you tighten preinstalled hanger bolt
I purchased table legs with preinstalled hanger bolts. The first one went into the plate like a charm! The other three will not tighten. When I unscrew them from the hanger, the bolt has loosened itself from the leg. The hanger bolt will not tighten into the table leg no matter what I do. Will some sort of glue hold it?

Hi! Review any directions that came with them. Switch the three that won't tighten to one of the other spots and see if it makes a difference. Maybe they are drilled individually and only match up to one leg? Just guessing, but, I ran into this with metal legs once before. It maybe it's a design flaw and needs to be addressed by the seller. Good luck!

Hi Judi, maybe try to check that the "hidden" bolt is seated properly. I am thinking you may be able to change out the one bolt

Cynthia makes a good point, maybe they are locations specific, although I would be surprised if that is the case. I would try what she suggested and try the spots and see if that works. If not, get ahold of the manufacturer and see what they suggest.
I would suspect the hole is out of shape and the bolt can not fit into it properly, to fix either redrill the hole, use the double nut to turn 1 nut against the other. If you get the bolt into the hole and it is loose, you may need wood filler to seal the connection.
I think the holes are probably too wide, try putting some tooth picks inside the hole as you are screwing the leg on.
