Hello yes you can custom blend your colors in the same paint line with agreeable tinting results.

If you want the color much darker you may need to purchase that deeper toned color.

You can add a couple of drops of black or brown tint and mix. Many times, if you take it back to where you purchased it, they will do it for no charge.

You need to add a darker hue just like you would when mixing any other paint.

You can use acrylic craft paint to adjust the color.

I would mix it with a darker shade. But only add a little bit at a time. You can always add more, but you can't pull out the dark.

Hi! I do it all the time. Keep track of how much you add to how much you're mixing in, in case you need more (your ratio). I use a darker shade or add black for darker, white fir later. It is best to use the same brand, but, I have mixed small amounts of latex paint in chalk paint successfully. Mix really small amounts as you try to get the right shade, before committing to larger amounts. I use small jars or yogurt containers to experiment in. Another method I 've used when I didn't like the way a color dried is to layer another deeper (or lighter) color over it, or dry brushed another shade to give the color more depth. When you get it the way you want it, seal it, because chalk paint won't hold up without wax or polyurethane to seal it. Good luck and have fun!
