How to Fold a Napkin Into an Envelope

1 Material
10 Minutes

I used this idea on my Galentine’s Brunch tablescape recently and want to show you how to fold a napkin into an envelope shape.

It’s super easy, and makes a fun addition to your place setting.

directions for envelope napkin fold

You will need a square napkin in whatever color you choose.

Start by laying your napkin out with a point at the top. Then fold about 1/3 of your napkin toward the center.

Then fold the other side in.

If the point of this side sticks out, just fold it back a bit.

Next, you will begin folding up from the bottom. Fold about 1/4 of the length for the first fold.

Then fold another time,

Fold one last time, making sure you are folding about the same amount with each fold.

To finish your “envelope”, fold the flap over the top.

And, that’s it! Super easy and cute!

To finish it off, I added a wooden heart cutout for my Valentine’s tablescape.

I hope you enjoyed learning how to fold a napkin into an envelope! I will be sharing a Valentine’s tablescape later this week, where I incorporated these cute napkins, so be sure and check back on Thursday for the reveal! Several other blogger friends are joining in and sharing their tablescapes too, so you don’t want to miss it!
