There really is not much out there about this, but I have a theory, it grows this way because that is the variety of Aloe you have, it is doing what it's DNA is telling it to do...and that is growing how it does.

If you'd like to attempt to get it to grow without all the side sprouts, there are some things you can try, that would be staking it and tying it up so all leaves will only be allowed to go perpendicular rather than horizontal.
