How to use leftover marble?

I had a new vanity installed in my bath. Since the house is kinda older, and the vanity is taller, the outlet was to close to the vanity to use the backsplash. It is a pretty piece of marble and I do not want to throw it out. What can I use it for?

  • You could use it in your kitchen. Marble is great for kneading dough or working with chocolate.

You could add small feet to the bottom and use it on your countertop. Depending on the size you could add handles on either end to make a useful tray. Here's an article that has a few ideas. Maybe one of the ideas will inspire you.

Janice, thanks for your suggestions. However the piece of marble is only 4" by 48". If I had a sideboard putting feet on it would be great to use it there. I don't want to cut it since it has sculpted ends.

That could work as a heat proof area to set hot food items on a picnic table.

You could make a shelf or plant stand out it, but 48" is long.

I gave mine to my neighbor and she made a table out of it for her back patio. They just glued it to a piece of wood and added 4 legs.
