Well I would certainly seal the grout. Otherwise it will be dirty in no time. Will also make it easier to wash.
Agreed I would seal it just to get that grout sealed so its easy to clean otherwise though no I don't believe any heat will effect it :)
Yes, seal the grout to preserve the beauty of your project and to keep it clean. Visit a diy store and get the sealer.
Grout sealer would probably be wise to help with clean up
If you don't seal it, it will get dingy quickly. Make sure you use a heat compliant sealant. If not, it will flake off.
Hello. I would recommend sealing it to keep the grout lines a uniform color and protected from any potential staining.
thanks to you all. i have a couple clear protective acrylic sprays but they dont say anything about heat.
I would probably seal it, but I have one that I made in high school ( a REALLY long time ago) , never sealed it and it's fine. If anything spills on it, I do wipe it off asap.
I would vote to not seal it. If you put something really hot on n extra finish it will likely melt. It will look awful then!
Sealer like poly will get damaged from the heat. Tile should be fine unless you painted it or added something to it's surface.
Don't seal it. Any sealer will melt, burn, and stink under heat. It can also give off harmful fumes from the heat
I have one I made long ago, no sealer and it's fine.
No sealer as it will melt or burn
