Scrape off as much as you can with a butter knife. Then cover the spot with paper towels and rub a warm iron over them. The paper towels will absorb the wax.
Dampen a white cotton towel, fold it in half and place it over the wax. Press an iron set on “high” over the towel for 10 seconds. The heat will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel. Repeat until the wax is gone (you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds).
I have used ice and it worked. If you go with the iron trick just make sure you have a thin cotton towel between, because the iron can burn the carpet fibers and damage them.
get a terry cloth towel or wash cloth. Place it over the wax and use your iron to heat up the area where the wax is. When the wax gets hot enough, it will melt and the terry cloth will pick up the wax! Just get a cheap cloth from walmart or the dollar store b/c you won't want to use it again after it picks up the wax.

The easiest way I've found is to cover the wax with paper towels and then use an iron over it to heat up the wax.
The 100% cotton cloth and hot iron remedy suggested above is the best remedy!
Hi! I've also used ice so that it's easier to scrape off. Good luck!
I used ice and it works

I'd heat it with a hair dryer

You need to heat up the area and use a terry cloth to pick it up .
