Jazz up your outdoor entertaining space this spring with these EASY DIY coasters.

The supplies needed for this project are listed. I found this silicone mold on amazon for less than $10. The concrete bag was $5 at a local hardware store as well as the clear polyurethane spray to seal and them. And the cooking oil was in my pantry! Furniture pads from dollar tree $1. Optional supplies: paint decorative tape for design.

The first step is to mix 3 cups of concrete with water. I started to measure the water but lost count when i kept adding a little at a time. i don't think you can mess this step up though. Just get it to a toothpaste like consistency.

Next, I sprayed the molds with the cooking oil to ensure the coaters will slide right out of the molds when dry. Don't skip this step. I did a second set without it and broke two of the coasters trying to get them out.

Allow your coasters to dry for 24 hours before removing. You can leave the coasters plain or dress them up with your favorite paint. I found black acrylic paint at Walmart for less than $1. Then I used some decorative tape from my daughters craft kit and made a unique design. Once the paint is dry (or if you left them plain) I used the clear matter poly spray to seal them. Add the furniture pad on the bottom to prevent scratches on your surfaces.

These are a fun craft to gift to others or simply use on the back patio with a cold beverage! I love that you can personalize them to your own style. You can make many sets with the one bag of concrete making this a very frugal DIY.
