I have seen posts using distilled vinegar, cleaning vinegar and regular vinegar, what is the difference. I can only get regular vinegar up north and have actually never seen the others

Here's a guide to the different types of vinegar. Distilled white vinegar seems to be the default for everyone - its what I use to clean my house etc. https://www.bonappetit.com/story/types-of-vinegars-decoded
You may be able to find the stronger vinegar at the hardware store.
I have found white cleaning vinegar at the Dollar Tree of all places. Also I have had best luck with a variety of vinegars in the small town type grocery stores. I normally use regular white vinegar (5% acidity) because it's harder to find the cleaning white vinegar (6%). I haven't noticed a difference in the two for results.
White vinegar can be purchased at the grocery store. It is usually around $2.39 a gallon. I have tried the so called cleaning vinegar. I found no difference in the product and it cost double regular vinegar.

The Real Difference Between Apple Cider Vinegar and White Vinegarhttps://www.rd.com/article/apple-cider-vinegar-vs-white-vinegar/
For cleaning we use distilled white vinegar in a 50/50 dilution with water, we get 2 gallons at a time from Sam's Club, about $2.40/gallon). The pH is about 2.5.
The cleaning vinegar has a lower pH generally around 2, this makes it more concentrated than regular distilled white vinegar, so you'll use less vinegar and more water, saving you money.
With some off brand cleaning vinegar you have to be careful, this has a gray area as we have discovered. If the label does not tell you the pH of the cleaning vinegar, you might be able to look it up under the brand name on MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) , which is available online. The latest cleaning vinegar we found was close in price but no pH was listed, so we looked it up and discovered the cleaning vinegar can have a range of 3-5 pH, therefore if it is not listed, you don't know if it is a good deal or not or if it will be more effective. Remember the pH of water is 7 (neutral).
For a cleaning vinegar, we have found this at Home Depot.

Cleaning vinegar just has some detergent added to it. I just buy the distilled stuff in the gallon for most things. But I have gotten the cleaning vinegar at the Dollar Tree.
I use the same vinegar that I cook with to clean with...distilled white vinegar in the gallon size from the grocery store. Great all purpose item.
I use distilled
Plain white vinegar from the grocery store that cost around $2 is what you should use.
I think if your only option is regular vinegar, then it will still do the job!
White vinegar is sold at most grocery stores and is a solid cleaning vinegar.
white vinegar should work fine.
Just regular vinegar from the grocery store is what people refer to. You can get horticultural vinegar for weeds which is much stronger.
Hello, the vinegar you have in the house is perfect for all the cleaning solutions you are reading about, and best of ll you can still use it for cooking and eating.
