How can I make a table 2" taller?
I have an oak table that I need to make the same height as my baker's table to accomodate the granite slab I have for the top. What would be the best way to do this without jus setting it on wood blocks?

We had the same problem with our old farmhouse table. We bought wood balls that were the right height and added them to the bottom just with a long screw. They look great too. :)
You can install furniture pads on the bottom which will add the height you need. They are fairly easy to install.
I use these on all my furniture to protect the floor and keep everything level: https://amzn.to/3q5DxBA

Hello. They commercially produced different risers for both beds and tables. Looking around at their options you might find something you wish to consider.

You could add risers or add different legs to your table.

Thank you all for your wonderful response!
Here's what I did to remedy the same problem. I turned the table I wanted to elevate upside down, then drilled holes in the bottom of the legs. Next inserted glass door knobs (with the extended hardware) that are cut in a pretty crystal like pattern into the bottom of the legs. Make sure they fit in the drilled holes, you can also glue them in place.
Hi Diana, because it's only 2" that you want to add, you can do this easily, hope this link helps you out,

Try removing the legs and adding the difference between them and the top.
for a 2 inch addition, you can purchase feet buns at Lowes or Home Depot. I absolutely love Redcatcec suggestion about using decorative door knobs, you can purchase them at DeLawless.com.
Hi! I hope you're doing well! You could try using furniture pads or felt pads to create a uniform surface to set the granite slab on top of. This way, you won't have to worry about the granite being too high or too low compared to the oak table. If you're looking for a more permanent solution, you could try attaching wood or metal legs to the bottom of your oak table. If you still encounter difficulties, you may always reach out for inspiration to guys from Eureka Ergonomic ( https://eurekaergonomic.com/glass-desks/). Let me know how it goes!
