DIY Spring Nest Centerpiece
Faux flowers have come a long way! I used tulips and daffodils to create a gorgeous Spring nest centerpiece that is a beautiful way to welcome Spring! Make sure to visit my blog DIY Beautify to check out all my home decor ideas, crafts and tutorials!
I started with a round shallow basket and some twig garland. I snipped the wire that held the garland together, allowing it to open up. Then I simply wrapped it around the basket. It naturally wants to close on itself, so I didn't secure it at all. It makes a beautiful nest look.
Next, I cut a foam floral block in half and placed it securely in the basket.
I used scissors to snip 1-2" of the plastic stem from each flower, making sure to leave the wire in place.
This made it easy to secure the floral stems in the foam.
I added the flowers one by one, staggering the heights a little as well as the type of flower, to make it look attractive.
I kept adding these amazing, realistic faux flowers (about 45) until it looked full. To disguise the foam, I used Spanish moss and some reindeer moss and just covered up the green foam.
The result is a gorgeous centerpiece, made from faux flowers! Perfect for Spring decorating!
