The headboard is a tall, dark made out of hard plastic and the top has the designs. I saw one on this sight and it was redone in a cream color with the designs out lined in a darker brown. It has been about a month and now I can't find it to see what color and brand they used on this. Thanks for your help.

You can always paint although I would not use chalked paint as it comes off easily if scratched or rubbed and headboards get much more wear and tear than you realize.
