My daughter upcycled my old Samsonite matching luggage into a unique nightstand for m guest room several years ago. Since the luggage had a slope to each piece she alternated them to keep the top level. Many travel decals and colorful pics wee added and decoupaged onto it. I enjoyed it for several year but since then have taken it apart. It provided storage for extra bed linens. I wish I'd saved a picture of it to share.
