For such a tiny room, this really gave me a run for my money. Finally, I am thrilled to share the Powder Room Makeover Reveal. If you have been following me for a while, you know I like clean classic lines and decor. A bit Traditional and a bit Contemporary. I wanted to keep this makeover really budget-friendly, I set a budget of $50.00 and spent $50.78. So I call this staying in budget.

I love how this room turned out.

So let’s start off with a pic of what I was working with. This is a nice size space and very typical of most powder rooms. The pedestal sink is on the right in a recessed area with the toilet straight ahead as you enter the room. When we moved in we added beautiful new floors and baseboards. I added a few accessories and called it good. It has basically stayed the same for the last 4 years since we bought the house. Time for a makeover.

Every room in my home is painted Swiss Coffee from top to bottom. I love this color and it looks amazing in my home. When I decided that I needed to give the powder room a little makeover, I thought I would use a stencil, or paint some wallpaper pattern. There are so many fabulous painted wallpaper designs that I see all of you do, so I wanted to try one too. Major problem, our walls are heavily textured. No stencil or painted wallpaper for me, too many lumps and bumps. You can see my problem in my Powder Room Saga post here.

After all the tedius painting to get clean lines on those really bumpy walls, I finally had a feature wall that I loved. (Getting a straight line around all the bumps was no easy task.)

I decided on this as my inspiration for the room. Love the painted accent wall and clean line accessories.

Now on to the accessories. I wanted to keep a piece of art I was already using and find a companion piece to add to the feature wall.

I found the perfect piece on Etsy and downloaded it. I already had a frame, so everything was ready to go.

I ordered a shelf from Home Depot and got it installed. Now I was ready to dig through my stash and accessorize. That is always the fun part.

DRUM ROLL – – – – HERE IS THAT WALL NOW

I am so glad I stuck with it and got that wall done, I love how the bathroom turned out. This feature wall is perfect.

I’ve ordered a new modern towel bar for the sink area, but it is on backorder. That will be the final piece and this bathroom will be done. All of the accessories are things I had in my stash. They all worked so well to give this little room a ton of style.

The sink area is the same as it always was. I kept this picture too because I really like it. A touch of old-world with my modern.

Cost:

Paint 1 quart $14.99

Etsy Art $2.54

Shelf $22.43

Towel Bar $10.82

Total $50.78

The two bathrooms are not the same! Why is that? One has marble look flooring, the other wood look. Also the door in each room opens on the opposite side.

Are you trying to tell us, the two different bathrooms are the same room, or are you comparing two different bathrooms
