Is this a grass or a weed?

This has been growing in my lawn. My gardener used weed and feed on it and now it's yellowing. If a weed, what's the best way to get rid of it? TIA
Weeds, you can pull it and it will come out like long vines, very easy to pull.
weeds, pour salt on it and spray with vinegar it will die.
The grass with head on it looks like rye grass, Weed n Feed usually doesn't work on grasses - you will need a specific herbicide. That looks like grass. Try using the app PlantSnap and see if it can ID it for you.

Appears like grass to me that is trying to seed. Keep it cut to a lower height and you should be fine.
Grass that has gone to seed. It needs to be cut shorter to keep it from going to seed.
