Hello,
If you left your wall untreated then it will go silver grey. If you wanted it to stay as new, then it would have needed a Sealer on it. What does it look like now?

Hi Linda, do you know if the wall has been sealed?
Hello. We refinished are cedar walls in our log cabin room a few years ago. They were completely sanded down and resealed and brought a new wood appearance to the cedar. No more stain dings or water spots. It is however a very labor-intensive and dusty project!

If the wood is already rotted then bleach won’t work
Are you looking to get it back to its natural finish?? If so then alot of sanding and then a coat of stain
I found this, if you would want to stain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihVe2zztaRo

You should be able to re sand it down then re oil
