Learn how to make a Spring wreath using speckled eggs! This egg wreath DIY is perfect for your Spring and Easter cottage home decor!

Hi friends, welcome back! I guess I’m all about wreaths this week because I’m sharing another one with y’all today! I love this speckled egg wreath and I think it turned out SO CUTE!

So, if you have been following for a while, you know I love using this moss in my home decor and crafts! I recently used it to make a bird nest in this Bird Nest Art and Craft. So fun!

After I made the bird nest, I came up with the idea to use it for a wreath. The texture and messy look of this moss is perfect for this spring DIY. I added speckled eggs to this particular wreath, but I think it would be so beautiful if you left the eggs off and used it with your fall home decor or even as a neutral year-round wreath! You might see that look in my home later this year. 😉

This wreath is very simple to make, it just takes a little time! Let’s get started. You need to gather a few supplies first.

Speckled Egg Wreath DIY, Supplies

  • American Moss, Natural Excelsior
  • Straw Wreath Form
  • Speckled Eggs
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue

Create A Speckled Egg Wreath in 3 Steps:

Step 1:

Remove the plastic wrap from your straw wreath. Grab a small handful of moss / natural excelsior and form it onto the wreath. Lift up the section you just shaped and apply hot glue to the straw wreath. Place the moss back onto the wreath and hold it until the glue dries, being careful not to burn yourself. Continue this process until your wreath is covered in moss / natural excelsior!

Step 2:

Next, hot glue your eggs onto the wreath. Take your time glueing the eggs on. You will need to apply hot glue to each egg, press it firmly into the moss, and let it dry before moving onto the next egg. I varied my egg size and color as I worked my way around the wreath.

Step 3:

Loop a ribbon or section of fabric around the wreath to hang it! I used natural muslin fabric and tore off a 2″ strip to create my ribbon.
