Help Finding Correct Bathroom Vent Fan?

Looking to replace my bathroom vent fans but can't find the same type that will fit. The vent fans i have found are facing the opposite way and the blades are too wide to fit in the hole. Any idea if or where i can get the correct vent fans or do i have to redo the whole enclosure? Thanks in advance.

If it’s for the heat lamp combo you need to purchase a all in one piece unit fan and heat lamp all attached in one unit .measure your opening and go to like Home Depot or Lowe’s see if they have one or maybe order one .Or you could get one online for shure eather Ebay or Amazon

You may have to remove the whole fan and replace with what is available. Sizing and patching the opening may be required.

if they are older then you should just replace them with the newer and safer ones out there - otherwise you can find out who mfg. those and look to see if you can find replacements

The newer ones are pretty great looking - the fan is behind the light so it just looks like a sleek pot light. You may prefer to replace it. :)

Try your local independent electric supply company. The ones tradespeople get their materials from, not the big box stores. Go to the parts counter (not the showroom). Write down as much information about your unit as you can find along with the picture. They will be able to tell you very quickly if parts are available and if it is worth it. if you decide to replace it, know that the current electric code requires a dedicated line for a fan/light/heat unit. If you have a 20 amp line going to a GFCI receptacle, you can use that for power as long as that line does not service anything else.

I too would recommend replacing the whole unit with a brand new model. The new bathroom exhaust fans are available with integrated LED lights, (no more searching for bulbs that fit) and are much quieter than the old ones. Look for a unit with a low sone number (such as 0.3)

Go the extra step and replace your standard switch with a countdown timer.

    Hello,

You might find that the sort you have are no longer available because they have been updated. This has happened to me! My units have only been in 5 years! It can be a costly

job, but if you need it you will have to bite the bullet and shell out to replace!

Look at the model number on the old ones and type into google to find exaclty what you need

  • You might find it easier and less costly in time and effort to replace the fan unit.

My dad had this same set up in his bathroom. He only used the infra red bulb a few times since is was a huge power drain.

Take a picture on your cell phone and take that to a local hardware store. They should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Hi Matthew, the wiring should be about the same, but you will need to adapt the opening to a square vs the rectangle, if you are unfamiliar with drywall work, you would be best to contact a pro. Otherwise, go for it, and pick up some drywall, tap and mud & go for it. Or you can order replacement parts, https://www.broan-nutone.com/en-us/product/ventilationfans/9422p
